Jae Kim Killed in Phelan Crash on State Route 138 at Hess Road
Phelan, California (October 31, 2023) – 81-year-old Jae Gyu Kim has been identified by the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office as the man who was killed in a car crash two weeks ago in Phelan.
The fatal crash happened on State Route 138 at Hess Road at around 3:59 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Two pickup trucks were involved in the accident, but the events leading up to the accident were not immediately established.
Kim was seriously injured and was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center where died while receiving treatment.
