James Antonini II Killed in Petaluma Motorcycle Collision

Petaluma, California: The Sonoma County Coroner’s Office identified James Antonini II, 52, as the man who died in a motorcycle accident last week in Petaluma.

Authorities said the crash occurred around 5:15 p.m. on Bodega Avenue, west of Rohde Lane.

The California Highway Patrol said Antonini was riding his motorcycle west on Bodega when a Mazda SUV turned left from southbound Ahern Lane onto eastbound Bodega and the vehicles collided.

Antonini was thrown from his bike, sustaining major injuries. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Witnesses told police that the rider was passing vehicles by going over the double-yellow lines prior to the collision.

An investigation is ongoing.
