James Hicksman Killed in Lancaster Crash at Avenue L and 20th Street

Lancaster, California – James Hicksman, 57, has been identified as the man who was killed in a car crash last Tuesday in Lancaster.

According to the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station, the accident happened at Avenue L and 20th Street West around 9 p.m. on June 6.

A Ram pickup reportedly crashed into the back of a Subaru Forester SUV. The impact of the crash caused the Forester to crash into a Chevrolet Silverado.

Hicksman was a passenger in the Subaru and was pronounced dead at the accident scene, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

The driver of the Subaru was hospitalized in critical condition.

The other drivers and passengers sustained minor injuries in the accident and were transported to the hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Ram pickup truck was arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
