James Lebo Killed in Lincoln County Crash on Highway 20
Lincoln County, Oregon, (September 7, 2023) – The Oregon State Police has identified 70-year-old James Richard Lebo of Wrangell (AK) as the person killed in a head-on crash on Tuesday evening in Lincoln County.
The accident occurred on Highway 20 near milepost 4 at about 5:02 p.m. on September 5.
Police said Lebo was heading eastbound in a Suzuki Sidekick when he drove into the westbound lane and crashed head-on into a Toyota Tacoma.
Lebo suffered fatal injuries due to the collision.
The Tacoma driver, 49-year-old Trevor Lee Hutchison, was unhurt in the crash.
Authorities blocked the highway for around two and a half hours to give way to an on-scene investigation.
An investigation is ongoing.
