Jason Bennett Killed in Head-On Collision on Highway 30 in Columbia County
Columbia County, Oregon – 34-year-old Jason Ray Bennett, of Clatskanie, has been identified as the man who died in a head-on collision that happened on Tuesday morning in Columbia County.
According to the Oregon State Police, the accident happened at around 5:16 a.m. on Highway 30 near Neer City Road.
Bennet was driving a Honda CR-V eastbound when he drifted into the westbound lanes and collided head-on with a Chevrolet Silverado.
Bennett was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet driver, a Deer Island resident, was unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
