Palm Desert, California – One person was killed in a bicycle accident that happened at an intersection in Palm Desert on Tuesday night.
The accident was reported at around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Cook Street and County Club Drive, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
62-year-old Jay Groth, of Indio, was riding a bicycle in the area and was struck by a car.
The man was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center where he died while receiving treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
