Jefferson Ropero Killed in San Jose Car Crash at Fruitdale and Lehigh
San Jose, California – A man is dead following a two-vehicle collision that happened in San Jose on Sunday afternoon.
The fatal crash was reported at around 1:30 p.m. in the area of Fruitdale and Lehigh Avenues.
According to the San Jose Police Department, a gray Toyota Prius and a white Toyota Corolla were involved in the collision. One of the cars reportedly overturned after the collision.
CHP says one person was killed in the accident.
Units are currently investigating a major injury vehicle collision in the area of Fruitdale Av and Leigh Av. One vehicle has overturned.

The victim was later identified by the Santa Clara County’s coroner’s office as 26-year-old Jefferson Smith Martinez Ropero.
Additional information about the accident was not provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
