Jess Davis and Stephen Williams Killed in Oceanside Car Crash on Interstate 5

Oceanside, California – Two US Navy sailors who died in a traffic collision on Thursday morning in Oceanside have been identified as Jess Davis, 38, of Tennessee and Stephen Williams, 37, of Texas.

The crash happened on Interstate 5 near Las Pulgas Road at around 3 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

Davis and Williams were riding motorcycles in a group of four people when they crashed into vehicles that had collided and become disabled in the southbound lanes of the highway.

Davis, Williams and a third unidentified rider were pronounced dead at the scene.

The fourth motorcyclist was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

Four other people were also injured in the crash, according to the CHP.

More details about the collision were not provided.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
