Jessica Ferrino Struck and Killed by Vehicle on South Rio Vista Street and Wagner Avenue
Anaheim, California – The Orange County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Department has identified 49-year-old Jessica Ferrino of Anaheim as the pedestrian hit and killed by a vehicle on Tuesday evening in Anaheim.
The accident occurred at around 6:30 p.m. on October 8, on South Rio Vista Street and Wagner Avenue.
The Anaheim Police Department said 33-year-old Raymundo Rangel was driving a silver Mercedes-Benz at a high rate of speed when he lost control, swerved and hit Ferrino on the greenbelt.
Following the crash impact, the Mercedes landed in the Santa Ana River.
Ferrino was killed in the collision.
Two Mercedes occupants were hospitalized with minor injuries.
Rangel was arrested on DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter charges.
An investigation is ongoing.
