Jesus Zeferino Killed in Car Crash at Manning Avenue and Hill Avenue
Fresno County, California – Eli Abram Lopez, 27, has been identified as the man killed in an alleged DUI collision on Saturday night in Fresno, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fiery crash happened at Manning Avenue and Hill Avenue at about 11:00 p.m.
Police said Lopez was driving a Honda when she halted at a stop sign near the junction.
Jesus Zeferino, 24, was driving behind the Honda and did not slow down and slammed into the Honda’s back before crashing into another car. The Honda burst into flames after the collision.
Lopez was declared dead at the crash site.
A passenger in the Honda sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital.
Two persons riding in the second vehicle hit by Zeferino were expected to be fine.
Zeferino sustained minor injurie and was arrested for DUI and felony vehicular manslaughter. Three other men riding in his car were taken to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
