Joe Alvarez and Analiea Alvarez Killed in Fresno Car Crash on Highway 180
Fresno, California (April 26, 2023) – The Fresno County Coroner’s Office has disclosed the identity of a man and her daughter who were killed in a car crash in Fresno on Tuesday morning.
The fatal crash happened at around 11:20 a.m. on Highway 180 near Alta Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
33-year-old Joe Alvarez of Fresno was driving a Jeep eastbound on Highway 180 when he allowed his vehicle to drift into the opposite lane and collide head-on with a Chevrolet driven by a 44-year-old man from Woodlake.
Alvarez was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the accident scene while his 13-year-old daughter, Analiea Alvarez, was flown to the hospital where she later died.
The driver of the Chevrolet sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
The right front 16-year-old passenger and the 4-year-old rear passenger of the Chevrolet were not injured but were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
