Joe Krieg Killed in Nicolaus Car Accident on Cornelius Avenue near Pleasant Grove Road
Nicolaus, California – Joe Otto Krieg, 93, has been identified as the man who died in a car accident near Nicolaus in Sutter County on Friday afternoon.
The fatal collision happened on Cornelius Avenue near Pleasant Grove Road at around 2:30 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Krieg was driving a 2017 Toyota Prius eastbound on Cornelius Avenue when he collided with a 2019 Toyota Highlander traveling south on Pleasant Grove Road.
Krieg was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
No other injuries were reported in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
