The fatal accident happened on Highway 101 near Oxnard Boulevard, according to Oxnard Police Department.
Paquet was riding a bicycle southbound in the northbound lane when he was struck by a car that was making a right turn from the 101 off-ramp.
Paquet was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
