John McLaughlin Fatally Injured After Crash at 40th and Cholla Streets

Phoenix, Arizona – The Phoenix Police Department have identified 44-year-old John McLaughlin as the person killed in a multi-car crash on Monday afternoon in Phoenix.

The crash happened at around 3:15 p.m. on October 28, on 40th and Cholla streets.

According to the authorities, McLaughlin was heading northbound on 40th Street in a truck when he swerved into the southbound side. He failed to halt for a red light at the junction and crashed into an approaching small SUV.

The truck also slammed into a Waste Management truck.

The crash impact caused the truck to drive off the highway and slam into a wall.

McLaughlin sustained fatal injuries due to the collision.

A man and a child riding in the SUV were taken to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

No other information concerning this crash was provided.
