Jose Lucero Killed in Riverside Motorcycle Accident on Interstate 215
Riverside, California – 31-year-old Jose Lucero has been identified as the motorcyclist who was killed in a collision that happened on Wednesday afternoon in Riverside.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 3 p.m. on Interstate 215 near Center Street.
Lucero was riding his bike southbound on the crowded four-lane corridor when he collided with a big rig.
The impact of the crash ejected Lucero from his motorcycle and fell onto the pavement.
A trauma surgeon in the jam left his car to provide medical assistance to Lucero until Riverside County Fire Department paramedics arrived.
Sadly, Lucero succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
