Josefina Romo Killed in Oxnard Pedestrian Accident at Oxnard Boulevard and Rose Avenue

Oxnard, California – 67-year-old Josefina Romo died after being struck by a vehicle at an intersection in Oxnard on Friday morning.

According to the Oxnard Police Department, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 5:25 a.m. at Oxnard Boulevard and Rose Avenue.

Romo was walking across Oxnard Boulevard when she was hit by a southbound 2002 Ford F-150 pickup truck.

Romo was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

The driver, a 52-year-old man from Oxnard, stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
