Joseph Rios Killed in Cabazon Crash on 10 Freeway near Main Street
Cabazon, California – Joseph Rios, 32, of Menifee, has been identified as the man who died in a car accident on Wednesday night in Cabazon.
The accident was reported around 6:36 p.m. on Interstate 10 Freeway near Main Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A white Hyundai Sonata was traveling west on I-10 when the driver lost control and crashed into a tractor-trailer combination that was also westbound on the freeway.
The impact of the crash pushed the Hyundai off the freeway and into a tree.
Rios was a passenger in the car and was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs where he died while receiving treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
