Juan Alonso Killed in Livermore Crash on 580 Freeway near First Street
Livermore, California – Juan Moreno Alonso, 21, of Concord, has been identified by the Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau as the man who was killed in a multi-vehicle collision last Thursday in Livermore.
The fatal crash happened at around 3:30 a.m. on May 25, on Interstate 580 Freeway near the First Street exit, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Alonso was driving a Ford Mustang when he rear-ended a Ford F-350 pickup truck. A Chevrolet pickup truck allegedly traveling over the speed limit was unable to avoid a collision and crashed into the right passenger door of the Mustang.
The Chevrolet pickup truck was then hit by a passing Ford Expedition.
Alonso was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The Chevy driver suffered moderate injuries including a broken knee and ankle.
No one else was injured in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.

Sacramento County, California: Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Antelope.
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.

Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Woman on Motorized Wheelchair Hit and Injured by Car in Victorville
Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
