Julianna Juarez-Serrano Killed in Salinas Car Crash on Cooper Road

Monterey County, California – Authorities have disclosed the identity of a woman who was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Thursday morning in Salinas.

The fatal collision was reported around 6:45 a.m. on Cooper Road near McFadden Road, according to a local news source.

A 21-year-old Castroville man was driving a Honda southbound on Nashua Road when he collided with another Honda occupied by a 25-year-old female driver from Oxnard, 18-year-old Julianna Juarez-Serrano of Salinas and a child in the back seat.

Juarez-Serrano was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

The child was taken to the Marina Airport before being airlifted to the hospital for treatment.

Both drivers were hospitalized with unspecified injuries.

Drugs and alcohol were not suspected as factors in the crash.
