Julie Welchance Killed in Woodland Hills Pedestrian Accident on US 101 near Mulholland Drive
Woodland Hills, California – Julie Welchance, 18, of El Cajon, has been identified as the woman who was killed in a pedestrian accident on Sunday morning in Woodland Hills.
The fatal collision happened in the eastbound lane of the 101 Freeway near Mulholland Drive at around 5:15 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Welchance was struck by a vehicle in unclear circumstances.
First responders arrived at the scene and found the woman unresponsive in the middle of the lane and was pronounced dead at the scene.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
