Justin Maxwell Killed in Roseburg Crash on Melrose Road
Roseburg, Oregon – One person was killed in a motorcycle accident that happened in Roseburg on Thursday evening.
The crash happened around 4 p.m. in the 4800-block of Melrose Road, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
A 2020 Suzuki GSX motorcycle was traveling west on Old Melrose Road at a high rate of speed when it struck a 2014 Toyota making a left hand turn into a residential driveway.
The rider, 34-year-old Justin Allen Maxwell of Roseburg, was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The van driver, 69-year-old Roseburg resident Steven Gordon Soper, was unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
