Police say the accident was reported at around 4:30 p.m. on Camden Avenue near the Cambrian Park neighborhood.
The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in unclear circumstances.
Police said the boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed.
The involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
