Kern County Coroner Identifies Motorcyclist Killed in Bakersfield Crash

Bakersfield, California: 68-year-old Gregory Charles Salyer was the man who died in a motorcycle accident that happened Sunday morning at an intersection in Bakersfield.

According to the Bakersfield police, the driver of a car ran a red light at State Road and Airport Drive, causing the collision.

Salyer was riding his motorcycle westbound on State Road, approaching the intersection with Airport Drive.

The driver of a car traveling on Airport Drive failed to stop at a red light and collided with Salyer.

Emergency personnel transported Salyer to Kern Medical, where he was pronounced dead hours later.

The driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
