Phoenix, Arizona – The Phoenix Police Department is investigating a fatal accident that killed a man on Tuesday evening in West Phoenix.
The crash occurred at around 7:30 p.m. on October 29, near 74th Avenue and Thomas Road.
Authorities said a 17-year-old boy was heading eastbound in a pickup truck on Thomas Road at a high rate of speed when he slammed into a vehicle that was making a turn from northbound 73rd Lane onto Thomas Road.
The vehicle driver, 51-year-old Kevin Clark was declared dead at the crash site.
The second driver sustained minor injuries and was treated.
Alcohol and drugs contributed to the crash.
No additional information concerning this crash was provided.
