Kristina Lara Dies After Phoenix Car Accident on 19th Avenue and West Lower Buckeye Road
Kristina Lara Identified as Person Killed in Crash on 19th Avenue and West Lower Buckeye Road
Phoenix, CA. – The Phoenix Police Department has identified 25-year-old Kristina Lara and 2-month-old son Josiah as the two persons killed in a traffic collision on Friday afternoon in Phoenix.
The deadly crash occurred at around 1:20 p.m. on 19th Avenue and West Lower Buckeye Road on October 25.
Authorities confirmed that a sedan, operated by a 23-year-old man, was heading southbound on 19th Avenue weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed before crashing into a northbound truck that was attempting to make a left turn onto West Lower Buckeye Road.
Lara and Josiah, sedan passengers, sustained critical injuries in the collision. They were rushed to the hospital where they died.
Three other kids in the sedan sustained injuries. They were treated and released.
All kids were reportedly not in child safety seats.
