Leah Philip Killed in California City Pedestrian Accident on California City Boulevard
California City, California – Leah Makiah Ida Phillip, 27, died after being hit by a car in California City on Wednesday night.
The fatal pedestrian accident happened around 6:26 p.m. on California City Boulevard near Deep Well Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The California City woman reportedly pulled her vehicle to a dirt shoulder, exited her car and ran into traffic where she was hit by a 2019 Toyota Avalon.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and performed life-saving measures on the woman, but she succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Authorities have ruled out intoxication as a contributing factor in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
