Livermore Winery Owner Killed in Car Crash
Livermore, California: 59-year-old Mitchell Katz died in a two-vehicle collision that happened Friday afternoon in Livermore, the Alameda County Coroner’s Office said.
The Livermore Police Department said the crash occurred near East Avenue and Mitra Street.
The deceased was the owner of Mitchell Katz Winery.
According to police, Katz was driving a white GMC SUV when he collided with a black Subaru about 1.8 miles northwest of the winery, which is located at 2915 S. Vasco Road in Livermore.
Katz was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
