Lodi Public Works Employee on Duty Struck and Killed by Car
Lodi, California: A city of Lodi Public Works employee died after being struck by a vehicle while on duty Thursday morning at Central Avenue and Watson Street.
Police said the incident happened at about 7:30 a.m.
The city employee was working at the intersection when he was hit by a car.
Emergency personnel took the victim to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.
The driver involved stopped and cooperated with authorities.
