Luis Padilla Quezada Killed in Head-On Collision on Silverado Trail
Napa, California (November 1, 2023) – Luis Padilla Quezada, 57, has been identified as the man who died in a car crash in Napa on Monday morning.
At around 9:57 a.m., the California Highway Patrol received reports of a traffic collision on Silverado Trail near Yountville Cross Road.
Quezada was driving a 1995 Toyota sedan southbound on the highway when he drove into oncoming lanes and collided head-on with a big rig driven by 36-year-old Mauricio Caballero of Mendota.
Quezada, a resident of Napa, was transported to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center where he died.
31-year-old Raul Ortiz was riding in the Toyota and was transported to the hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
