Man and Woman Injured in Traffic Collision on Highway 246 in Buellton
Buellton, California: Two people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision that happened Monday morning in Buellton.
Authorities said a Suburban SUV and a Tesla were involved in the crash on Highway 246.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to the scene.
According to police, the SUV, which was occupied by a woman and a young man, hit the driver’s side of the Tesla for an unknown reason.
The elderly man driving the Tesla got trapped inside. The victim was extricated by responding firefighters and transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with major injuries.
The woman in the SUV was taken to Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital with injuries not as serious.
The young man in the SUV declined transportation.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
