Man Killed in Huntington Beach Accident at Adams Avenue and Ranger Lane

Huntington Beach, California (May 2, 2023) – According to the Huntington Police Department, a 53-year-old man was killed after a scooter accident on Sunday night in Huntington Beach.

The collision happened at about 8:00 p.m. on April 30, at Adams Avenue and Ranger Lane, between Brookhurst Street and the Santa Ana River.

Authorities said the man, a Huntington Beach man, crashed into a silver Mercedes-Benz C300. When the collision happened, the man was reportedly heading south in a white Royal Alloy Grand Tourer scooter west.

Responding emergency teams found the scooter rider lying in the roadway. He was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Benz driver, a 30-year-old, did not flee the crash site and cooperated with officials.

Authorities did not suspect the driver to be impaired during the crash.
