a motorcycle accident that happened Tuesday night in Oceanside, police said.
The wreck was reported at about 11 p.m. on the ramp from west State Route 78 to north Interstate 5.
Authorities said a man was riding a 2012 Harley Davidson when the bike went down.
A passing Mitsubishi Outlander crashed into the rider.
Emergency personnel transported the rider to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The 69-year-old San Diego man driving the Mitsubishi was not hurt.
Officers said impairment was not considered a factor.
