Man Fatally Hit by Vehicle in San Diego Identified
San Diego, California: 33-year-old Joseph Robert Held Lyons died after he was struck by a vehicle while walking on a highway near Balboa Park, the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Officer said.
The accident took place on March 17 on State Route 163 near Interstate 5.
Police received 911 calls from motorists in the morning of that day about a man walking in the center divide and in the fast lane of the highway.
Officers were discussing setting up a traffic break in the area when the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle.
Lyons died at the scene.
No other information was given about the accident.
