Man Hit, Killed by Car at Pacific Highway and Rosecrans St. in San Diego

San Diego, California – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car in the Old Town area of San Diego on Saturday night.

The fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened at around 8:30 p.m. on Pacific Highway at Rosecrans Street, according to the San Diego Police Department.

A man had been walking north in the bike lane and was attempting to cross the street when he was struck by a 2029 Hyundai Elantra operated by a 24-year-old woman.

The unidentified man was transported to the hospital, where he died while receiving treatment.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
