Man Hospitalized After 2 Motorcyclists Collide in San Diego

San Diego, California: A man was hospitalized after two motorcycles collided early Saturday morning at an intersection in San Diego’s Kensington neighborhood.

The San Diego Police Department said the accident took place around 1:30 a.m. at Aldine Drive and Fairmont Avenue.

Investigators said a 38-year-old man was riding a 2021 Harley Davidson northbound on Aldine Drive directly in front of a 32-year-old man riding a 2016 Harley Davidson.

The 38-year-old rider stopped for the stop sign at the intersection with Fairmont Avenue, but the 32-year-old rider failed to stop and crashed into the motorcycle ahead from behind.

The 32-year-old man was taken to a local hospital with an open compound fracture to his left leg.

The other motorcyclist was not injured.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
