Man Injured in Fresno Crash at Chestnut and North Avenues

Fresno, California – A man in his 50s was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred on Monday night in Fresno.

The California Highway Patrol says the collision was reported at around 8 p.m. at the intersection of Chestnut and North Avenues.

A big rig was traveling westbound on North Avenue when it collided with an SUV traveling northbound on Chestnut Avenue. The SUV was pinned against a pole after the collision.

The SUV driver was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The truck driver, a man in his 30s, was not injured.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
