Man Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision near Buellton

Buellton, California: A man was airlifted to the hospital after a multi-vehicle collision that happened Friday afternoon on Highway 246 between Buellton and Solvang.

The California Highway Patrol said the collision took place about 1:15 p.m. in the 1000 block of Highway 246, west of Skytt Mesa Drive.

A Toyota 4Runner, a Mini Cooper, and a Chevy Suburban were involved in the accident.

CHP officers and the Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to the scene.

A man sustained moderate injuries in the crash. He was airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital by a Calstar medical helicopter.

The cause of the accident was not immediately determined.
