Man Injured in Pacific Beach Motorcycle Accident at Grand and Kendall Avenues

Pacific Beach, California – A motorcyclist sustained major injuries Sunday night after colliding with a vehicle in Pacific Beach.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the accident happened around 8:33 p.m. at Grand and Kendall Avenues.

A 33-year-old man was riding a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle eastbound on Grand Avenue when he entered the bicycle lane in an attempt to pass stopped traffic.

At the same time, a 33-year-old man was driving a 2020 Jeep Cherokee westbound on Grand Avenue, when he made a turn onto Kendal Avenue and broadsided the motorcycle.

The rider suffered serious injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

The accident remains under investigation.
