Man Killed, Another Arrested, After Yuba County Crash on Quincy La Porte Rd

Yuba County, California: A 59-year-old man from Clipper Mills died in a head-on collision that happened Tuesday evening in Yuba County, police said.

The wreck was reported at about 6 p.m. on Quincy La Porte Road, south of Woodleaf and Forbestown Road.

Investigators said a 22-year-old Dobbins man was driving a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck, and the Clipper Mills man was driving a 1995 Chevrolet Blazer when the vehicles collided head-on.

The Clipper Mills man died in the accident.

The Dobbins man was taken to a hospital for his injuries. Officers said the driver “showed objective signs and symptoms of drug impairment” and arrested him.

The suspect was booked into the Yuba County Jail. He faces DUI causing injury and gross vehicular manslaughter charges.
