Man Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver in Lake Balboa
Lake Balboa, California: A 45-year-old man is dead after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver Friday evening in Lake Balboa, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
The accident happened around 8:11 p.m. on Woodley Avenue between Burbank and Victory boulevards.
LAPD said the driver of a silver SUV was speeding when he hit the pedestrian and fled the scene.
First responders found the man lying in the roadway and pronounced him dead at the scene.
The suspect car was last seen traveling south on Woodley Avenue toward Woodley Avenue Park.
An investigation is ongoing.
