Man Killed in Bakersfield Crash on Highway 99 near Highway 119
Bakersfield, California – A 43-year-old man died after colliding with a semi-truck early Wednesday morning in Bakersfield.
The fatal crash happened on Highway 99 near Highway 119 at around 3:31 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A semi-truck was traveling northbound on the highway when it slammed into the rear of a Toyota Prius driven by a 43-year-old man.
Both vehicles came to a stop on the right shoulder of the highway.
The sedan driver was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
