Bakersfield, California – A man died after being struck by a car on Friday night in Bakersfield.
The fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened around 9:30 p.m. in the 3200 block of Buck Owens Boulevard, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
A white hatchback was traveling northbound when it struck a man.
The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The vehicle fled the scene before the arrival of the officers and the driver was yet to be located.
