Man Killed in Car Accident at Highway 95 and Avenue 3 1/2 in Yuma Identified
Yuma, Arizona: 43-year-old Jose Escobar died in a two-vehicle crash that happened Wednesday morning at an intersection in Yuma, according to the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office.
The collision occurred on Highway 95 at Avenue 3 1/2.
Authorities said Escobar was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado eastbound on the highway when, for an unknown reason, the car crossed the centerline into the westbound lanes where it collided with a 2015 Chrysler 200 heading westbound.
The driver of the Chrysler was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
Investigators said alcohol did not appear to be a contributing factor.
