Man Killed in Chatsworth Accident Involving Lumber Truck Identified
Chatsworth, California: 23-year-old Manuel Camacho Jr. died in a multi-vehicle collision involving a lumber truck that happened Monday morning on the 118 Freeway in Chatsworth, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
The incident involved a Penske box truck, an SUV, and a lumber truck.
Authorities said Camacho was driving the box truck, which reportedly rear-ended the lumber truck.
Lumber from the flatbed went through the box truck’s cab and hit Camacho.
Emergency personnel pronounced Camacho dead at the scene.
It was unclear if any other injuries were sustained.
Several traffic lanes were closed for about three hours during an investigation.
