Man Killed in Chula Vista Car Crash at Bayfront and E Street
Chula Vista, California – A man in his 50s was killed in a head-on collision early Wednesday morning in Chula Vista.
At around 6 a.m., the Chula Vista Police Department responded to reports of a traffic collision at the Bayfront and E Street Trolley Station.
A Honda was traveling westbound when it drifted into the eastbound lane and collided head-on with an oncoming Nissan sedan.
The male driver of the Honda was found unconscious inside the car and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
A woman in her 30s was driving the Nissan and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
