Man Killed in Hyde Park Crash at West Florence Avenue and Crenshaw Boulevard
Hyde Park, California – A 25-year-old man died in a two-car accident that occurred in Hyde Park on Tuesday night, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The fatal collision happened around 11:15 p.m. in the area of West Florence Avenue and Crenshaw Boulevard.
Police say a man was driving a black BMW SUV westbound on West Florence Avenue at a high speed when he failed to yield to a red light and struck a gray sedan at the intersection.
The 25-year-old man was driving the sedan and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The SUV driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Alcohol and drugs did not appear to be factors in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
