Man Killed in Lancaster Bicycle Accident on Avenue L
Lancaster, California: A man died after being struck by a car while riding a bicycle Monday night on a street in Lancaster.
Police said the cyclist was riding his bicycle east on Avenue L when a 24-year-old Lancaster man driving a 2021 Chevrolet in the same direction hit him.
The accident happened around 10:50 p.m. near 42nd Street West.
The cyclist was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The driver was not injured. He stopped and cooperated with investigators.
Police said alcohol or drugs are not suspected to be factors.
