Man Killed in Lockeford Car Crash on SR-12
Lockeford, California: A 21-year-old man died in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Saturday evening east of Lockeford, the California Highway Patrol said.
Three vehicles collided around 7 p.m. on State Route 12 west of Disch Rod.
CHP said a white 2022 Chevrolet Silverado was driving behind a 2022 Honda when the driver of the Chevy failed to observe the speed of the Honda and rear-ended it.
The 22-year-old man driving the Honda lost control of the car and veered into the opposing lane, where he collided with a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado.
The 22-year-old man was killed in the accident.
Details about the condition of the other drivers were not given.
Investigators said drugs or alcohol did not appear to be contributing factors.
