Man Killed in Lucerne Valley Crash on State Route 247 Identified

Lucerne Valley, California: The San Bernardino County Coroner identified the man who died Thursday afternoon in a head-on collision on State Route 247 in Lucerne Valley as Luamata Halaholo, 20, from West Covina.

The wreck involved a black sedan and a red sedan around 4:12 p.m. on State Route 247 at Post Office Road.

The vehicles collided head-on, sustaining severe damage.

Halaholo was a passenger in the black sedan. He was trapped inside the car. First responders freed him and pronounced him dead at the scene.

The driver of the black sedan, and the occupants of the red sedan, a man and a woman, were hospitalized for their injuries. The woman allegedly could not feel her legs.

Authorities are investigating the collision.
