Man Killed in Mira Mesa Pedestrian Accident on Mira Mesa Blvd
San Diego, California – A 40-year-old man died after being struck by a car near Mira Mesa in San Diego on Monday evening.
The auto-pedestrian accident happened around 7:39 p.m. in the 9500 block of Mira Mesa Boulevard at 10800 West View Parkway, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The man was crossing the street and was hit by a black 2001 Ford Expedition that was traveling westbound on Mira Mesa Boulevard.
The pedestrian suffered multiple fractures, collapsed lungs, and blunt force trauma and was transported to the hospital where he died.
The 70-year-old man who was driving the car was unhurt.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
